Hilidac has announced its latest portable DAC/AMP device, the Hilidac Atom 2. It is an MQA-supported portable device available in both Type-C and Lightning connector options. Atom 2 helps you rediscover your high-quality music with its advanced ES9281AC DAC chip supporting PCM decoding up to 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 natively. The Atom 2 as the name suggests has a compact build with a connector build directly into the body shell. It is available to purchase with a price tag of 79.99$, both the connector options have the same price tag.

Hilidac Atom 2 features MQA rendered technology. It can fully decode an MQA stream or offline file with the final unfold providing the user with high-quality output. MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) is a new technology supported by the latest devices. It removes digital distortion and packs the audio streams into small files making them easy to stream. Only MQA certified devices support the full unfolding of these files. Atom 2 supports MQA files fully, the LED notification light on the device glows magenta to denote the MQA stream.

It is their flagship-grade portable USB DAC chip that provides best-in-class audio performance for its users with an ultra-low distortion rating of just 0.0004% and a high SNR value of 118dB. With the help of a dedicated crystal oscillator and this premium DAC chip, Hilidac Atom 2 produces a unique, melodious sound output with a noise-free, clean background.

Hilidac Atom 2 as the name suggests is a very compact device with a weight of just 18 grams. It is built with high-quality copper-zinc alloy material giving it a strong and sturdy build. The connector (Type-C/Lightning) is built directly into the Atom 2’s body, unlike other products in the market that have long or short connector cables to attach. It attaches easily to the source device and is very easy to carry around with its compact form factor.
