The Huawei FreeBuds 4i is the company’s latest TWS. They are the successor to last year’s Huawei FreeBuds 3i. But unlike the older model, the new one comes with a different design and a much better battery life.
Further, the earbuds connect with devices via Bluetooth 5.2. They also have support for wear detection and fast pairing but the latter only works with HUAWEI smartphones running EMUI 10.0 or above. The Huawei FreeBuds 4i has dual microphones with AI call noise reduction. These use “beamforming” technology that accurately detects human voices. Additionally, its AI neural network algorithm makes voices clear by extracting human voices from noisy environments.
As for battery life, each earbud is backed by a 55mAh battery, which Huawei claims to offer up to 10 hours of music playback with ANC turned off and up to 7.5 hours with ANC enabled. For voice calls, the endurance drops to 6.5 hours and 5.5 hours respectively.
The charging case which has a 215mAh battery, users can get up to 22 hours of music playback at 50% volume with ANC disabled. The case charges via a USB Type-C port and supports fast charging.
