HiBy has designed the RS6 based on their self-developed Darwin Architecture using the classic R2R ladder array DAC. The RS6 brings several high-tech functions such as Linear FIR Filter, Non-linear Harmonics Control, Switchable Oversampling/NOS bypass on a portable device. It has systemwide bit-perfect audio with HiBy’s Direct Transport Architecture. Four output ports, two headphones out with one 3.5mm single-ended and another 4.4mm balanced, and same both separate line-out ports. The chassis of the RS6 is now full copper compared to R6 2020 that had an aluminium chassis.
HiBy has designed a new digital signal processing architecture for the RS6 known as the Darwin Architecture. They have designed this based on traditional R-2R ladder array architecture. The system includes resistor ladder linearity compensation. For the first time, an R-2R system is combined with advanced functions such as Linear FIR filter, Non-linear harmonics control, switchable Oversampling/NOS filters, and DSD bypass on a portable device. It is fully configurable, creating endless possibilities for future upgrades on the system. To preserve the linear phase and reproduce the original sound as the recording artist intended, The Darwin architecture supports up to 16x oversampling filer as well as a NOS filter. The R-2R algorithm is highly adjustable and adapts to different earphone configurations. The NOS mode bypasses oversampling and antialiasing providing a raw and direct signal conversion, while the oversampling mode removes aliasing artefacts and enables all functions of the Darwin architecture. Oversampling mode also allows personalized adjustments to the sound signature.
The amplification stage for the RS6 has been designed completely on the R-2R ladder network. It brings the true potential out of connected earphones with full musicality, energetic, and pure sound signal amplification. It has a discrete component current-mode amplification scheme designed with 1 x OPA1642 and 2 x OPA1612 op-amps for the current stage. RS6 is equipped with 4 flagship-grade OPA1622 opamps for eight independent channels in a 2 x 2 parallel arrangement.
HiBy has equipped separate Low-pass filters for PCM and DSD signals. The DSD-specific LPF effectively reduces HF noise caused by the delta-sigma modulation process and provides you with exceptional performance. Now enjoy full native DSD decoding on the R-2R system. HiBy RS6 features dual independent crystal oscillators clocked at 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz providing proper synchronization between the RS6 components. These ensure the player produces quality output signals with great precision and clarity.
HiBy has chosen Qualcomm’s 8-core Snapdragon 660 SoC chip as the core of the RS6. It is combined with 4 gigabytes of ram providing ultimate performance with a snappy user interface. RS6 is loaded withHiBy OS designed around an open Android 9 operating system. It has support for countless music and media application on the play store. HiBy has featured DTA, a system-wide bit-perfect audio architecture on the RS6. It provides you with bit-perfect audio across different applications like Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz, UAPP, and several other applications that support bit-perfect audio.
The HiBy RS6 supports high-resolution wireless Bluetooth connectivity. It has the latest Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with high-resolution UAT, LDAC, AptX HD, AptX, AAC, SBC, wireless codec support. It also has 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi connectivity for a reliable and stable wireless internet connection. It also has DLNA, Airplay, and WiFi audio transfer functions.
