TRI has partnered with KAEI and released their very first Portable USB DAC/AMP, the brand new TRI TK2. TRI TK2 houses a premium Dual DAC chipset featuring two high-performance ES9038Q2M DAC chips from Sabre Technologies. It offers a fully balanced architecture with three headphone output ports, 2.5mm+4.4mm Balanced and 3.5mm single-ended. TRI TK2 has an output power of up to 1250mW. It has dual Type-C input ports with a unibody aluminium alloy CNC body.
TRI has chosen two high-performance ES9038Q2M DAC chips that provide ultimate high-resolution audio decoding characteristics to the TK2 achieving a dynamic range of up to 129dB and SNR of -120dB.
TRI TK2 adopts two independent 45.158mHz and 49.152mHz ultra-low jitter clocks. They provide high clock synchronization for the DAC chips. TRI TK2 features a powerful output with a fully balanced amplification circuit. It adopts OPA2132 + and TPA6120A2 amplification chips providing both Class A and Class AB amp modes.
All the internal circuitry has gold-plated circuit boards ensuring true sound performance. TRI TK2 outputs up to 1250mW of power. The volume adjustment has a potentiometer volume wheel on the front of the TK2. Once you go over 60% on the volume wheel, TK2 automatically adjusts to high-gain mode making the device ready for high-power requiring earphones and headphones.
TRI TK2 houses both single-ended as well as balanced headphone ports. It offers 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and 2.5mm balanced headphone output ports.
TRI TK2 packs a large 5000mAh battery that provides up to 9 hours of continuous music playback on the device. It supports fast charging while using via a separate USB Type-C port.
