The TINHIFI P1 MAX II is made using modern design and materials. It weighs only 3.8 grams on each side, which is 70% lighter than other similar products. Heygears’ 3D printing technology and detailed headphone models have allowed us to create a comfortable ear-fitting structure for the P1 MAX II. This design ensures that you can wear them for extended periods without feeling any pressure, allowing you to enjoy your music without any discomfort.

Lows

The P1 MAX 2 offers a solid bass performance, comparable to dynamic driver-equipped IEMs. The lows are rich and full, delivering a good impact and punch, along with a pleasant decay and texture. The resolution is impressive, providing a satisfying kick, and the sub-bass rumble is perceptible, adding depth to the sound.

The mid-bass of the P1 MAX 2 is finely textured, delivering impactful thumps with precision. The attack is swift and clean, maintaining a solid and distinct quality. This clarity shines through during fast bass passages, ensuring that each note is articulated clearly with adequate spacing between them.

TINHIFI P1 MAX II Review

In terms of technical prowess, the bass performance of the P1 MAX 2 is commendable given its price point. The decay is well-handled, and there is a balanced definition in the mid-bass region. The transition from bass to mids is seamless, contributing to a cohesive sound signature. Overall, the P1 MAX 2 excels in delivering a technically proficient bass response with speed, attack, and clarity.

Mids

The bass area of the P1 MAX 2 is greatly enhanced by its planar magnetic driver, which provides impressive speed and control. Not only that, but it also delivers a natural and authentic sound in the mid-range. The mids in these earphones are smooth, fluid, and full-bodied, creating a truly immersive listening experience. The tonality is incredibly realistic and lifelike, making every instrument and vocal shine.

One of the standout features of the P1 MAX 2 is its exceptional timbre reproduction. The instruments sound incredibly well-balanced, and I particularly enjoyed the timbre of the violin and guitar. The sound is clean, detailed, and slightly forward, with a perfect blend of tonality and richness. The earphones manage to capture an analog-like feeling, which adds an emotional touch to the overall sound. The vocals and instruments come alive with an organic and warm sound signature, creating a truly realistic listening experience.

The mid-range performance of the P1 MAX 2 is truly impressive. The mids are slightly emphasized and positioned in front of the stage, providing excellent resolution and detail. They have a full-bodied sound with a good amount of weight, adding to the overall musicality of the earphones. The mids are also dynamic and lively, bringing out the energy in the music. If you prefer a mid-range that is focused and well-defined, the P1 MAX 2 is an excellent choice. It excels in presenting instruments with precision and clarity, allowing you to fully appreciate the intricacies of your favorite tracks.

Treble

The P1 MAX 2 offers a refreshing and clear treble that surpasses most dynamic driver IEMs. It strikes a balance between being sharp and not causing fatigue. The highs are extended and stand out, showcasing a delightful combination of sparkle, clarity, and lightness. The treble possesses an energetic quality, with the cymbals producing a splashy effect upon impact. Moreover, it exhibits a prolonged shimmer that sounds remarkably authentic.

Despite the slight emphasis on treble, the P1 MAX 2 manages to avoid any harshness or sibilance. The vocals and instruments sound natural and realistic. The plucking of acoustic guitars is particularly impressive, as it is precise, well-managed, and faithfully reproduced.

Technical Performance

The P1 MAX 2 doesn’t excel in soundstage. The presentation is quite straightforward, with a narrow stage width leading to a crowded sound. The depth is decent, but not particularly remarkable. If you prefer a spacious presentation, this may not be the best choice for you.

On the bright side, the transparency is impressive and the level of detail is adequate. The overall presentation is smooth and detailed, but the congestion can make complex tracks feel overwhelming. It’s important to note that the P1 MAX 2 requires ample power to perform at its best.

Keep in mind that the P1 MAX 2 thrives on power for optimal sound quality. The planar drivers demand more power compared to other monitors, so make sure to provide it with sufficient driving power for the best listening experience.

Sum-Up

The TINHIFI P1 MAX II offers impressive resolution and detail, delivering a sound that is both authentic and natural. This can be attributed to its excellent tonality and instrument timbre, especially considering its price point. If you don’t have any planar IEM and wonder how it sounds the P1 MAX II is the perfect candidate to start with, an easy recommendation from me.
